JSOT Youth Club (For Age group 13 to 18)

For over many years, we have successfully organized JSOT Youth Clubs for our children. Led by our passionate & dynamic team of youth representatives, our next-gen regularly meets to socialize, learn, have fun etc. Our Core Team consists of the President, Vice President, Coordinator and members. If you are in this age range, consider joining as there are always plenty of activities going on across.

Some of the programs/activities that we usually do:

Jain Youth Ski Camp
Embrace the winter with this wonderful camp run by our young volunteers. A 3 day event organized during the Feb long weekend, we combine Skiing with a blizzard of fun activities. Whether you are beginner or expert, we provide you with an environment to learn all the necessary skills that become an unforgettable life time experience and bring home sweet memories. All high school youth are eligible to register for the camp. Join the event and experience the magic yourself. Only limited spots are available. We also offer financial aid to families in need.

Jain Youth Camp
At Jain Camp, campers learn how to apply Jain philosophy to their daily life. Complex Jain concepts like Ahimsa (non-violence), Aparigraha (non-possessiveness), or Anekantwad (multi sidedness) are simplified and made relevant to youth growing up in North America. At the same time, campers also get opportunities to participate and get involved in creating nature based crafts, setting up crazy campfires, cooking & baking tasty vegetarian meals, participating in eco-workshops, playing games, exploring & hiking, increasing self awareness with meditation and much more. The Jain Camp curriculum is jointly created by educators and an Ontario Certified teacher. Classes are interactive and engaging and teachers encourage campers to question and think critically.

Sports Sessions
Youth without engaging in sports is unimaginable, unthinkable. We, at JSOT Youth club carefully plan our events to include sports & games for our active, energetic young athletes creating special memories and lasting friendships. Some of our favorite indoor and outdoor sports include Basketball, Cricket, Board games, Playing Cards, Badminton, Volleyball etc. The colossal list goes on.

Volunteering
While our youth get together and join in for great games, icebreakers activities, team building activities, attending information sessions, we also believe in giving back to our community. Some of the ways that our Youth can get involved in our community is by helping in serving food, cataloging library books, helping in rituals etc. Besides, giving back also means earning volunteer hours needed for high school. So if you are looking to complete your volunteer hours, JSOT is just for you.

JSOT Kids Club (For Age group 4+)

We continue to provide engaging sessions for our little children starting age 4. We regularly conduct religious education learning sessions in person and online such as Pathshala to nurture young minds. The curriculum focuses on teaching Jainism and its Principles while giving them an opportunity to question beyond the confines of discipline and think outside the box.
All this is achieved through creatively designed age appropriate learning activities in a fun loving way.
